God
wrote, "I love you"- he wrote it in the sky, and on the earth, and
under the sea. He wrote his message everywhere! Because God created
everything in his world to reflect him like a mirror- to show us what he
is like, to help us know him, to make our hearts sing." - Sally Lloyd-Jones
The
new year is both an opportunity to look back and to look forward. How
and where did you see God's love for you reflected in the experiences of
last year? Where might you imagine the brilliance of God's glory will
shine in your life in 2012? At New Sharon we fully trust that each
time we gather Jesus is in our midst. Looking ahead to 2012 we will
have many opportunities to gather: worship, music, Sunday school,
prayer groups, children's events, scouts, feeding our neighbors, just
to name a few.
As a particular focus this year I invite you to engage in at least one
ministry in our church or community. There are so many ways to share in
the life of the church: from singing in the choir to making sure we
have pencils in the pews on Sunday. The point is that when you have a
part in community it opens the door for you and others to have an even
more meaningful experience together in Jesus.
I
pray that this year you will increasingly reflect the love of God as
the Holy Spirit dwells in you. After all, He wrote his message
everywhere; including on your life.
Peace,
Pastor Jeff
